Eligibility Criteria

1. Positions Available:
   • Professor (BPS-21): Fields include Distance Education, Educational Planning, Special Education, Chemistry, Business Administration, and more.
   • Associate Professor (BPS-20): Fields include Lifelong Learning, Early Childhood Education, Science Education, Business Administration, and others.
   • Assistant Professor (BPS-19): Fields include Early Childhood Care, Science Education, Chemistry, Psychology, and various others.
   • Lecturer (BPS-18): Fields include Distance Education, Secondary Teacher Education, Environmental Sciences, English, and many more.
2. Qualifications:
   • Eligibility will be determined according to HEC criteria and AIOU Service Statutes. Specific educational qualifications relevant to the field applied for will be required.
3. Age Relaxation:
   • Age limit relaxations will be provided as per Upper Age Limit Rules, 1993, and AIOU Service Statutes.

Terms and Conditions

1. Application Process:
   • Candidates must apply online via the AIOU Job Portal at careers.aiou.edu.pk.
   • For Professors and Associate Professors, four hard copies of the application and one soft copy (PDF on CD) must be submitted, along with necessary academic documents and a paid original bank challan.
2. Government Employees:
   • Candidates working in government or semi-government organizations must apply through the proper channel and submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) and service certificate by the due date.
3. Application Completeness:
   • Incomplete applications will not be accepted. Information provided in the online application form will be considered final.
4. Modification Rights:
   • AIOU reserves the right to modify the number of posts or cancel any position without assigning a reason.
5. Processing Fees:
   • Fees:
     • BPS-18: Rs. 1,500/-
     • BPS-19: Rs. 2,000/-
     • BPS-20 & BPS-21: Rs. 5,000/-

6. Interview Allowance:
   • No travel allowance or daily allowance will be provided for the interview.

Important Information:

1. Eligibility:
   Eligibility will be determined according to the HEC criteria and further scrutiny will be done per the AIOU Service Statutes of 1978 (amended from time to time) and the AIOU Recruitment Policy.
2. Age Relaxation:
   Age limit relaxations will be provided according to the Upper Age Limit Rules, 1993 (as amended) and the AIOU Service Statutes.
3. How to Apply:
   Candidates must apply online via the AIOU Job Portal at careers.aiou.edu.pk.
   • For Professors and Associate Professors, applicants must also submit four hard copies of their application (in binding form) and one soft copy (PDF format on CD) along with attested academic documents, research papers, details of student supervision (M.Phil/Ph.D), conference papers, research grants, community service activities, and the paid original bank challan.
4. Applicants from Government/Semi-Government/Autonomous Bodies:
   Candidates working in government or semi-government organizations, including AIOU employees, must apply through the proper channel. They need to submit a NOC and service certificate from their controlling authority by the due date. Incomplete applications will not be accepted.
5. Application Information:
   Information provided in the online application form will be considered final. Any additional claims made later will not be accepted.
6. Right to Modify:
   AIOU reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of posts or to cancel any position without assigning a reason.
7. Processing Fees:
   • BPS-18: Rs. 1,500/-
   • BPS-19: Rs. 2,000/-
   • BPS-20 & BPS-21: Rs. 5,000/-

8. No TA/DA:
   No travel allowance or daily allowance will be paid for the interview.
9. Deadline:
   The last date to submit applications is October 30, 2024.
